C fine powder

The C fine powder is a black silicon carbide used for making abrasives and is generally called carborundum. The manufacturing method is the same as GC where silica and coke are heated to a temperature of 2000(C in an electric resistance furnace for heat reaction. The "a" type silicon carbide crystal obtained from the heat reaction is then used for making abrasives. The purity and hardness of this product is a little inferior to GC nevertheless, it is able to produce a sharp and hard
blade in abrasives stably. The C fine powder is used as a material for making abrasive paper and is also used to add the finishing touch to abrasives made of iron, steel, aluminum, and stone. It is also suited for use in precision honing processing.
